...a review on Elia Kazan's A Streetcar Named Desire...

Marlon Brando stole the others' limelight though he was a new star introduced to audience in the Elia Kazan's "Streetcar Named Desire". He appeared very rough and animalistic that her characters gave the very real portrayal of Stanley Kowalski. Vivien Leigh is one of my favourite veterant actress and I love her in playing her role as Cleopatra and many others before I watch this movie. Her acting does not upset me because the depictions of Blanche as a woman who flirts a lot and known for her promiscuity; she did her best. Some other friends told me that they hate her as Blanche DuBois. The choice of Vivien as Blanche and Kim Hunter as Stella is accurate because they appeared very contrast to each other---physically and behaviourally.Overall, I think that this is a must-seen movie for those who search for something authentic yet entertaining....
